What’s involved?

Step 1 - Summary of Affairs

Before our first meeting, you will be provided with our Questionnaire to complete ahead of our meeting. This will assist you in creating a summary of your financial affairs and family situation prior to our first meeting. Bring along your completed Questionnaire and supporting documents (including your photo ID) to our meeting.

Step 2 – First meeting

At our first meeting, we will discuss your Questionnaire, what you want to achieve through your estate planning and provide any advice. Structuring such as family trusts can also be discussed – bring along your trust deeds for perusal. A customised estate plan will be created for you taking into account your personal circumstances and objectives.

Step 3 – Summary of Estate Plan

Following our meeting, we will send you correspondence confirming the details of your estate plan. Payment for your estate plan will need to be paid into our trust account at this stage prior to creation of the documents.

Step 4 – Your Documents

Once you have confirmed your instructions to us as set out in the estate plan summary, provided any final details and paid your estate plan fees, we will create your documents and send them to you by email in draft form to review.

Step 5 – Final meeting and signing

Once you are satisfied with your draft documents, we will have a final meeting to read through and sign your documents.

Note that if you are creating an Advanced Health Directive then you will need to have met with your doctor and completed the relevant parts of the document with them prior to this meeting. Your doctor may charge their own fees for completing their parts of the document.

Contact us today to take the first step towards proving your family with certainty. A comprehensive estate plan can provide your family with asset protection and tax planning advantages well into the future.
